Hi there, behind every successful term paper, there is a proper schedule for completing your term papers in the time period given. So, today we are going to see how to schedule term paper so that it finishes in the given time duration. The first step in writing a research paper is to admit you have a research paper or a term paper. Write up a schedule with a series of milestones to accomplish by a specific date for example find 10 sources by September 20, finish preliminary research by October 15, and keep to it. You will need time to get an overview of what material is out there, find out what’s in your library, select relevant material, read it, take notes, and start putting it together and to do a second wave of research to clear up points raised in the writing of your first draft.

When you need to write a research paper, it is very important to remember that you cannot wait until the last minute and cram to finish it in a day or even a week. Research papers require a month or two of preparation, since you will need to find books, articles and websites that support your topic. You also need adequate time to read and synthesize the information, then write your paper. It is helpful to work backwards when setting up a research paper schedule; so that you are sure you will finish on time. Here we are going to tell you a schedule divided into four phases; this is for your guidance. The better way to make a schedule of your term papers in your given time duration is to follow the phases and divide time duration to each phase by your own. So let’s see how to schedule a tem paper or research paper.

PHASE 1:

This is analysis phase or you can say research phase when you have to research on your chosen topic. Here are some tasks to be done in first phase. Divide each point into days. So that you will get to know in how many days you need to finish each of the point.

• Using research databases and bibliographies as guides find and photocopy 10 relevant, credible sources.
• Read sources and take notes in outline function. Set up an interview, survey, or observation.
• Read sources and take notes in outline function.
• Conduct an interview, survey, or observation. Transfer your notes to your outline

PHASE 2:

This is writing phase. Here you will have to complete your writing section.
• Write a working claim and organize your outline.
• Write the background paragraph.
• Write the first section of your argument.
• Write the second section of your argument.
• Write the third section of your argument. Cut sentences from the outline and paste them into a draft. Add topic sentences and transitions.
• Print your draft and make a backup copy on diskette.

PHASE 3:

And now revision stage comes, where you have to revise all your work which has done.
• Read entire draft and fill gaps in support. If possible, let your friends or others read and let them criticize on it.
• Read draft and improve organization.
• Improve clarity of paragraphs and sentences.
• Write introduction and conclusion.
• Read entire draft and improve style.
• Print your draft and make a backup copy on diskette.

PHASE 4:

Now the last phase comes in which you have to decide time periods for proofreading.

• Proofreading for grammatical errors.
• Proofread your draft for errors in punctuation and mechanics.
• Proofread draft for spelling and typographical errors.
• Set margins, add page numbers, and otherwise format draft. Make backup copy on diskette.
